I really don't like the hype around AI, most of the use-cases, the ecological, political and economic impacts and basically everything else about it. But I must admit, I have used it from time to time, and for some things, like simple code - think single components - it can and has saved me a lot of time.
I'm very much a novice using it and I will try to use it as little as possible but I can't ignore it and for some small number of things it might be the right tool for the right job. There I admit it. Blech.
Important and massive caveat: gen AI is terrible for artists and illustrators and really should never be used, even if on the surface it produces interesting/entertaining results.
