I'm going to try to keep up with the entire MLB season this year by writing a little roundup every week or so. I'll try to cover as much as I feel comfortable covering though let's be real, I'm a Jays fan first and foremost.
Jays win their Opening Day game at home, defeating the Athletics with a walk off hit and give the people what they want: a minor redemption for last year and an optimistic start. 1-0 on the long journey towards a potential World Series title! Gausman is the man: 11K, 0 BB!
Da Yankees win... Boo. Yankees defeat a much lesser San Francisco Giants though Aaron Judge goes 0-4, so mixed bag for AL East rivals.
Skenes gets walloped in opener. So it goes. He'll probably do better later.
Next time I'll take a look at some of the other teams, notably the big spending and ever losing Mets. If Bo Bichette hits a clutch homer for them in the WS I'll have decidedly mixed emotions.
